This historical 458,6 ha fruit and wine farm is situated on the Cape Wine Route in the Breede Valley, just outside the charming preserved 19th century village of McGregor.
Vineyards constitude a total of 20.78 ha with a variety of cultivars including Colombar, Clairette Blanche, Merlot, Ruby Cabernet, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. 7,18 ha Of the acreage is planted with Bulida Apricots. 11 ha Are under permanent irrigation (sprinklers) and another 11 ha (with borehole) is suitable for further development. Water is obtained from Vrolijkheid Irrigation Board and is stored in 5 dams. 49 ha Is currently under irrigation. The remainder of the not taken up by vineyards is typical Karoo veldt with indigenous plants and small game such as “Duikers” and “Grysbokke”.
